11 May PRAIA DO SARGI – 9 MAY 2020 – CHESS DAY

Do you remember Ana’s best friend? Well, today we received a visit from Sam, Liz, Maya, and the little Omar. 

Three more neighbors kids gathered, Laura’s two children were already in the yard so in total we could count 11 children and two babies. 

What do you think the adults have chosen to do with children!? Well, a chess tournament. 

As we only had one chessboard, the games were played one by adults and one by children.

Our play was interrupted by lunch. The children did not resume the chess competition and took refuge on the beach.

I supervised them for a while.

Alone, because Lavinia was making the most amazing raw cake. 

I looked at the children and their happiness. 

I was looking at the sandcastle they were building, surrounded by water, with islands around it. 

I looked at their innocence and the way they live the moment. 

That’s when I started to remember.

I closed my eyes and felt an immense joy. 

The wind was singing in my ears.

ZIUA DE SAH

O mai tineti minte pe cea mai buna prietena a Anei? Ei bine, astazi am primit vizita lui Sam si Liz, cu Maya si micutul Omar. 

S-au mai strans inca vreo trei copii ai vecinilor, copiii Laurei in numar de doi si deja in curte puteam numara 11 copii si doi bebelusi. 

Ce credeti ca au ales adultii sa faca cu copiii!? Ei bine, un turneu de Sah. 

Cum nu aveam decat o singura tabla de sah, partidele s-au jucat intercalate, una de adulti, alta de copii. 

Joaca ne-a fost intrerupta de masa. 

Copiii n-au mai reluat intrecerea si s-au refugiat pe plaja. 

Eu am fost pentru un timp cel care-i supraveghea. 

Singur, pentru ca Lavinia pregatea ceea mai bestiala prajitura raw. 

Ma uitam la copii si la fericirea lor. 

Ma uitam la castelul de nisip pe care-l construiau, inconjurat de apa, cu insulite in jur. 

Ma uitam la inocenta lor si la felul in care traiesc momentul. 

Atunci am inceput sa-mi amintesc. 

Am inchis ochii si am simtit o bucurie imensa. 

In urechi imi canta vantul.
