20 Jul ARRAIAL DO CABO – 19 JULY 2019 – JAZZ AND BEER

Winter in Brazil is like a warm spring in Romania. Arraial do Cabo is at about half of the distance between Rio Grande do Norte and Rio Grande do Sul, the two states that delimit the extremities of the Brazilian West coast. 

During the day the temperatures are around 20-25 degrees and at night they drop to 10-15 degrees. Statistics say that the minimum ever recorded was 8 degrees. 

On another topic, I was surprised to find that Brazil is the world beer market number 3, after the US and China. 

During the Carnival only, in 4 days, over 400 million liters are drunk, which is a quarter of what Romanians drink an entire year. 

In Brazil also, in Blumenau, there is the biggest Oktoberfest outside Germany, with over 700.000 attendants yearly. 

Here you can find the greatest diversity of beer, too. Every state has its beer and craft beer is a national sport. 

There are beer brands made for women, by women, isn’t that cool? Another cool thing is that in all hair salons for men, you drink beer. 

Today it started in Arraial do Cabo the Jazz and Blues Festival. We had the pleasure of listening live one of the greatest jazz musicians of Brazil, Ed Motta. 

A genius, the skinny guy!

JAZZ SI BERE

Iarna in Brazilia este ca o primavara calduroasa din Romania. Arraial do Cabo se afla cam la jumatatea distantei dintre Rio Grande de Norte si Rio Grande de Sud, cele doua state ce delimiteaza extremitatile coastei de vest a Braziliei. 

Ziua temperaturile sunt in jur de 20-25 de grade iar noaptea scad pana in jur de 10-15 grade. Statisticile ne spun ca in aceasta zona minima, absoluta ce s-a inregistrat vreodata a fost de 8 grade.

In alta ordine de idei am avut surprinderea sa descopar ca Brazilia detine locul 3 in lume dupa SUA si China pe piata berii. Numai de carnaval, in 4 zile se beau peste 400 de milioane de litri, adica un sfert din cat beau romanii pe an.

Tot in Brazilia, in Blumenau se intampla si cel mai mare Oktoberfest in afara Germaniei, atragand peste 700.000 de participanti anual.

De asemenea, tot aici poti gasi si cea mai mare varietate de bere. Fiecare stat are berea proprie iar producerea berii artizanale este un sport national. 

Exista de exemplu pana si brand-uri de bere pentru femei produse de catre femei, tare, nu? O alta chestie misto este ca in toate frizeriile se bea bere.

Astazi a inceput in Arraial do Cabo, Festivalul de Jazz si Blues. Am avut placerea sa-l ascultam live pe unul dintre cei mai mari Jazz-isti brazilieni, Ed Motta. Genial slabutzu!

Dupa vreme buna Jazz si bere, o sa va delectez cu niste poze facute cu drona, sunt spectaculoase.
